RTZ Global

RTZ Global were a duo consisting of John Magna (guitars, computers, programming, samplers) & Steve Grantley (vocal, synthesizers, tape effects, bass, drums).

They released the album “Return To Zero” in 2000 which featured 10 original songs accompanied by 2 cover versions (Suicide’s “Ghost Rider” and Peter Gabriel’s “Intruder”).

In 2003 they contributed a version of “Guns Of Brixton” to a Clash tribute album which has appeared under a variety of titles such as “Punk Tribute To The Clash” & “The Clash Tribute”.

A planned remix of the duos debut by a major label was scrapped after the master tapes were destroyed in a “computer error” starting a run of bad luck which would see their second album “Honour The Barbarian” sit unreleased for 17 years after the commissioning label went bust during the recording of it.

John Magna left in 2010 disappearing without warning resulting in a change of line up and also a new name RT-Zed.
