In 1999 Mike Peters started to compile a compilation of all the music released under The Alarm name from 1981 to 1991. This ended up as a box set of 8 discs and for each purchase a unique acoustic dedication disc would be included of a specially recorded acoustic song of the purchasers choice. All the songs would be remastered form the original recordings. The discs followed the format of the 6 studio albums/EP, the live Electric Folklore album and a special disc of rare songs. Each album was expanded with extra tracks added that were singles of b-sides from the same era as the album. The boxset was released by the The Twenty First Century Recording Company, catalogue number 21C018. Each disc had it’s own catalogue number as well
The box set had an extensive booklet for each album providing a n insight to the recording process for each album and individual songs
