This first started to be worked on from an idea Mike Peters had on 15th January 2021. On the video first broadcast on this date, an electric demonstration version was heard. This was second track of the WAЯ album officially released on 26th February 2021. A live band version of song was performed for the first time at Rockfield Studios, Wales and broadcast as a premiere on The Alarm Central platform on 27th February 2021



I sort of had this riff a bit Alarm-like, Sold Me Down The River, that’s what I had really, and this morning a got up early and sat downstairs by the fire and it just came, I got the line “Stand aside to save your country” or something like that it was , “I take my case to the United Nation” a bit Summertime Blues, The Who and Eddie Cochran and just concocted this massive rocker I reckon it’s got a bit of everything, some awesome guitar bits, some Led Zeppeliny sort of influence, a bit of The Who, a bit of The Alarm, a bit of the White Stripes, it sounds really contemporary, I just had to do the vocals for Crush, case I did all the guitars yesterday and sent them up to George and he’s really excited and he said I’m going to send it back with all the guitars in play, he did a little mini mix so I could really sing it and feel the excitement. And I just went off and I’m going to put this one straight down I come up with this morning, just wrote all the lyrics this morning. Went to see the man at the G8 convention, it’s got it everything, clap your hands if you won’t be broken, for what we are doing on Thursday nights, for all the time lost that has been stolen, We got this, we’re all gonna to make it, We got this, and we’re gonna to pull through, We got this, and we’re gonna to come out alive. I think that’s how we are all feeling right now with the vaccine coming, the optimism that’s there the hope. We’re dealing with a lot of the problems that came our way that kick-started this record and hopefully sense is taking over and goodwill will prevail and we will walk into a new era soon. – Mike Peters 15th January 2021
