Tribes [Stop The War] was first demoed on 20th January 2021. A video was broadcast that night on the official The Alarm Youtube channel of an electric demonstration version. This is the third track of the WAЯ album officially released on 26th February 2021. A live band version of song was performed for the first time at Rockfield Studios, Wales and broadcast as a premiere on The Alarm Central platform on 27th February 2021.
It’s been the sort of the end of the afternoon but really, it’s all gone dark outside, went out for a run in Storm Christoph and go absolutely soaked on the mountainside and could hear the rain hitting the roof, so I haven’t been able to record the acoustic guitars or the vocals cleanly, so I started writing another song, had the news on the computer whilst working things out, it’s a real collage of everything that’s happened the inauguration, still more vaccines rolling out, someone who says he will fight for people who didn’t support him as hard as he fights for those that did, which is a great thing to say and you’ve still got somebody leaving who says it ain’t over, it’s really strange times and I wrote this song it’s called Tribes and it’s to stop the war, all the infighting and it even quotes early Alarm “Power on the right side, fights the power on the left” somewhere, hopefully the months and coming days we’ll see some sense return, some normality.
