The Stand EP was released in the USA in 1983 as a way to get the music of The Alarm to fans who had seen the band supporting U2 on the War Tour as at that point the 5 tracks on the EP had not been released in the USA. The 5 tracks used were the singles The Stand and Marching On joined by the B sides Across The Border, Lie Of The Land and For Freedom
