Hear Rise in 3 stages, from conception to new electric band demos, with extensive liner notes! Following on from the success of ‘thealarm.change.demos’, MPO is proud to announce the release of “mikepeters.rise.demos’. This special double CD is being released in response to the demand from you, the MPO, and your thirst for rarities, previously unreleased tracks and an overview of the whole songwriting process. This album will feature the Rise tracks at 3 different stages: Conception, which features very early ideas and sketches of songs from Mikes trusty notepad tape recorder; Acoustic, whereby the song is taken one step further with the addition of acoustic guitar, drum rhythms etc. and Electric, where Mike takes the songs into a demo studio to test the songs in an electric environment, played by the band. All of this, along with complex notes from Mike himself as to how the Rise album came to be… Not forgetting previously unreleased bonus tracks from Mikes undiscovered trove of forgotten gems. This time, the embryonic I’m Falling and the unforgettable, Break Bread With Me’, to name but a few… experience the evolution of rise from conception to completion… with extracts from mike peters audio notepad, extensive sleeve notes… live, acoustic, electric and hitherto unreleased songs from the pre-rise recording sessions… this unique collection allows a rare glimpse into the world of mike peters – songwriter, arranger and producer…
