Aberdare is a town in South Wales where Mike Peters has played live and has also been the starting point for the Rhondda Rocks Love Hope Strength Foundation walks in 2009 and 2010
27th June 2009 : Mike Peters / Rhondda Rocks / The Alarm – The Coliseum Theatre, Aberdare, Wales
Mike Peters will lead a fundraising walk from Aberdare to the highest point in Rhondda. following Peters’s performance at the peak of Rhondda, The Alarm will perform at the Coliseum Theatre in Aberdare
The Automatic will be joining me the walk and also in the post-trek concert in the Aberdare Coliseum. Personally, I can’t wait to hear them singing “What’s that coming over the hill” on the summit!!!! Stuart Cable (Stereophonics) will also be joining us with his fine new band ‘Killing For Company’ along with a host of others including The Pendyrus Male Voice Choir. It’s all being recorded for future transmission by BBC Wales and it’s still not too late to join in….. so if you feel that you would like to ‘Get On Your Boots’ as Bono might say. It’s estimated that the walk will take about 3 – 4 hours and it’s nowhere near as high as Snowdon…. so come on down and make a stand with us – Mike Peters – thealarm.com
