Lyrics
A new wind’s blowing over the hill
And down the mountainside
Through the vales and valleys over land and sea and sky
From the fairgrounds of the north to the southern city streets
From the West still holding back the sea
To the border towns in the East
For now and forever more, from today and from now on
Let’s hear the congregation sing
Cwm Rhondda Oh My Lord
Great, great change in the fair country
The future lies with our sons and daughters
South will meet with North
Say, say a prayer for the fair country
Great is a need for a new Wales
Many will rise and many will fall and history will say
Today was built on yesterday
As tomorrow will be built on today
As the first ray of hope is cut
From the dawning of the brand new sun
Let all things come together on all sides of the mother tongue
For now and forever more, from today and from now on
Let’s hear the congregation sing
Cwm Rhondda Oh My Lord
Great, great change in the fair country
The future lies with our sons and daughters
South will meet with North
Say, say a prayer for the fair country
Great is a need for a new Wales
For now and forever more, from today and from now on
Let’s hear the congregation sing
Cwm Rhondda Oh My Lord
Great, great change in the fair country
The future lies with our sons and daughters
South will meet with North
Say, say a prayer for the fair country
Great is a need for a new Wales
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer
Oh someone hear my prayer for a new Wales
