Steve “Smiley” Barnard – (Musician)

Steve Barnard was born in London, England on 10th January 1968.

Smiley first performed with Mike Peters as part of Los Mondo Bongo in 2010 and shortly after joined The Alarm on a full time basis. He is primarily a drummer but also is a multi-instrumentalist who has played mandolin, guitar and bass live. Prior to The Alarm he has played and recorded with many acts including Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros, Robbie Williams and The Mock Turtles. He also owns and runs a recording studio called Sunshine Studios in Hampshire

He has written a book entitled Clang talking about the various musicians he has worked with or net whilst on tour, at festivals or whilst recording
