Sixty Eight Guns was released as single in the UK and parts of Europe on 12th September 1983. It was released in the UK as a standard 7″ vinyl and standard 12″ vinyl. On the 7″ The song was split as a radio edit with the B side as Sixty Eight Guns Part 2. On the 12″ release as the full length version of Sixty Eight Guns with Thoughts Of A Young Man on the B side. In the USA a version of the single was released on 14th February 1984 on 7″ and and a 12″ as a promotional release. In June 1984 there was a version released in Japan which contains Pavilion Steps as the B side

They practice a stirring, if rather obvious, brand of rock, rather cliched but doubtless exciting live.
