Lyrics ~ Abbey Road Session 7.9.1992 version
Running away on a west bound train
Two hearts beating alone and afraid
Searching out freedom in the shopping arcades
For Levi’s and bibles
Welcome to the new age
Refugees, refugees
Into the westworld
Where freedom costs
A president or a preacher
Or a New York cop
If your money talks
You can be what you want
In the east or the west
We all bow down to the new god
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing down route 66
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing like seeds on the wind
Refugees, refugees
Brought up on the valley
And the workers red star
The boss showing out the Beatles
Back in the old USSR
All winter long I’m hungry
All summer I’m parched
Big brother no more
On the station, the trains and the cars
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing down route 66
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing like seeds on the wind
Refugees, refugees
Freedom burning down an open road
No direction home
Just like a rolling stone
Whatever comes and whatever goes
We got each other
We go which way the wind blows
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing down route 66
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing like seeds on the wind
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing down route 66
Refugees in the westworld
Blowing like seeds on the wind
Refugees, refugees
Refugees, refugees
