Hear Me Out is a song that has two very different versions
The first one to be released was in 2002, this appeared on the A Flashing Blur Of Stripped Down Excitement album and would have been played live by Seventeen. This version was recorded as the Wallasey Sound Recording Studios demo in 1979
In 2013 for the Vinyl soundtrack another version of the song was recorded, appearing on the album to the film. This is a rawer version with different lyrics, apart from the chorus which dates from the era of The Toilets. The Toilets version would later evolve to what would become the version Seventeen played live. The Vinyl soundtrack includes versions of previously unrecorded songs that date from the days of the The Toilets
“Hear me out was a Toilets song first with the lyrics and arrangement like you hear in Vinyl.
It went into the Seventeen set with a new arrangement and different lyrics as can be heard on Flashing Blur….
It then morphed into Unbreak The Promise (the verse anyway)….. Mike Peters 19th October 2021“

Lyrics
There’s something I want to say now
It’s straight up to the point I tell you
Or will you stop and listen
And tell me what I ask
It’s only what I ask from you
It’s not too much to ask, I know it
Cause I have seen you show it
And when you try to hide it
It only goes to show
It only goes to show I know
There’s now where to go I don’t know it
Woh-woh
No way you don’t show it
Woh-woh
Nowhere that I don’t call
Woh-woh Woh-woh
Oh hear me out
Woh ohhh
Hear me out
Woh woh ohhh
Hear me out
Woh woh ohh ohhh
There’s violence in what I’m say
Cause you might think I’m only playing
But when you won’t listen
I have to use these words
I aim them right between your eyes
There’s something that I want to say now
It’s straight up to the point I tell you
Or will you stop and listen
And tell me what I ask
It’s only what I ask from you
I said
There’s now where to go I don’t know it
Woh-woh
No way you don’t show it
Woh-woh
Nowhere that I don’t call
Woh-ho Woh-woh
Oh hear me out
Woh woh ohhh
Hear me out
Woh woh ohhh ohhh
Hear me out
Oh hear me out
ohhh
Oh hear me out
ohhh
Oh hear me out
ohhh
Oh hear me out
Woh Woh
Out
Woh Woh
Hear me out
Oh hear me out
Woh Woh
Oh hear me out
Woh Woh
Oh hear me out
Woh Woh
Oh hear me out
Woh Woh
Alternative lyrics ~ 2013 Vinyl Soundtrack
People don’t know how to say
What goes on from day to day
Explain myself in this way
It’s the only way I can say what I got to say
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out out
Out out
Hear me out
People stare at what I wear
People stepping cause their scared
People run and show their fear
People don’t understand cause I’m not that type of human being
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out
Out out
Hear me out out
Out out
Hear me out
