Like many at the time, Mike Peters formed his first proper band, The Toilets, in 1976 after having seen the Sex Pistols play (in Chester). From here he formed Seventeen and then in 1981, The Alarm, moving to London to seek fame and fortune. After the Alarm split in 1991, Peters went on to release a series of solo recordings, further working alongside various contemporaries such as Billy Duffy.
