In 1986 American band Wire Train were invited to support The Alarm on their UK and Europe tour and a friendship formed. When the tour finished Dave Sharp was invited by Wire Train to play on one of the tracks that they were recording for their new album in London, an which would become Ten Women. This was released in the USA on 19th March 1987 and the UK 13th April 1987. The track which features Dave playing on is the final track on side A of the vinyl album, the album was also released on cassette and CD.
Around this same time Dave and Twist were working on some ideas for the next Alarm album and recorded some demos with members of Wire Train being part of the demo recording experience none of the songs they worked on for these 1986 demos would appear on the Eye Of the Hurricane album.
